For Someone So Special

Hi there crafters!  Today's card uses wisteria and iris card with a touch of black as an accent.  I started with wisteria card as my background and cut two of the Climbing Floral Vine in white and glued them to the sides of the card.  I cut the Climbing vines again two more times out of Iris card and used the fall away from the flowers and paper pieced it back into the original white ones on either side.  Next I cut two of the Nina dies, once in Iris and once in black.  I used the back version to shadow the Iris one.  I added a white backing and added it with foam in the centre of the card.   I stamped the sentiment and added a thin black mat and added it to the centre of the Nina die. The card was completed with iris, black and white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x  8 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Thanks For Being My Friend

Good Sunday morning all!  I started with a piece of coconut white card with a sticky adhesive sheet added to it.  I peeled off the backing paper and added four Meandering Twig die cuts across it.  I sprinkled Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz across it to fill in the remaining exposed adhesive areas.  I matted it with navy blue card.  Next I cut the Bella die twice out of Cobalt blue card and once out of white, and three times out of black.  I shadowed the white one and the two blue ones with the black die cuts then attached them to the background with the two blue ones side by side and the white one in the centre.  I stamped my sentiment then added a blue octagonal mat and added it to the middle of the card.  I added a white mat with a little squiggle around it then finished with white and blue mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x  9" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Hello Friend

Hi .crafters!  Here's a sample from the April die release for you.  I started with a piece of wisteria card and cut the Lattice Edging die  twice in white.  I added the larger pieces to the left and right sides of the card.  I cut the smaller piece twice and glued them into the centre area of the card (with a bit of a gap between them).  Next I cut the Caroline die out of wisteria card and backed it in white.  I mounted that piece in the centre of the card with foam.  I cut the smaller die from the Caroline in white and backed it in wisteria and mounted it in the centre.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the oval from the set, inked the edges with Shaded Lilac and mounted it in the centre.  Using the Starlight Daisy set, I made three flowers, inking the edges with lilac ink and assembling them with a bit of dimension by pinching them inward.  I accented the flowers with some leaves and mounted them in opposite corners.  Milk and wisteria mats were used to complete the card.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x  7 1/2" in size. All for now, Sue x

Daisy Stained Glass

Hi bloggers!  I have a lovely stained glass card to share with you today.  I cut the Daisy Stained Glass die out of black card and glued it to a piece of teal card as backing.  Next I cut it out of white card that I covered with Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz and used the fall away pieces of the flowers and leaves to paper piece it back into the teal backed version.  I added dries clear glue to the centres of both flowers and added medium clear micro beads and allowed them to dry.  I covered a piece of black card with Black Glitterbitz and cut the Stained Glass die out of it, then used the fall away pieces from the edges to paper piece into this one to create a bold frame around it.  I used the Double Stitched Rectangle die set to add a white frame around the entire piece, then added a black mat.  The card was then completed by adding white, teal and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/4" x  7 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x
